I’m Adam. a lifelong film enthusiast with a passion for storytelling, cinema history and the real-world places where movie magic is made. My love of film began with my first trip to the cinema to see Aladdin and it grew even stronger when a family member introduced me to classics like Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Since then I’ve enjoyed films from every genre and era.
As a teenager and into adulthood, that passion expanded beyond simply watching films. I began attending conventions and later several red carpet premieres, where I’ve had the opportunity to meet some incredible figures in the industry including Quentin Tarantino, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, Dustin Hoffman, Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jr., to name a few. My favourite film of all time is Jurassic Park and through this hobby I’ve even had the privilege of meeting Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and the legendary director Steven Spielberg.
My interest in media led me to study for an HND in Media: Moving Image, though my career ultimately took a different direction. Nearly two decades later, I’ve returned to education and am now studying Professional and Digital Marketing with plans to specialise in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). This website forms part of that journey – a space where I can apply what I’m learning, track performance data and build hands on SEO experience.
I chose to focus this site on film locations because of a moment that stayed with me. While watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets at the cinema, I saw an advert encouraging visitors to explore Alnwick Castle, one of the series’ iconic filming locations. That sparked my fascination with discovering the real world settings behind the stories we love. Since then I’ve enjoyed visiting filming locations across the UK and I hope this site inspires others to plan their own movie themed adventures.
